frogging

Remember the frog I posted a picture of the other day?

It was just one of many...besides Halo Legos, catching frogs has become the coolest thing around here.
Yesterday the boys let me tag along when they went "frogging"...

We hiked down to the lake, and let me tell you, it's a good thing there aren't any pictures of me climbing this fence. Not a pleasant thing to watch.

First things first, John let last-week's tadpoles go.
(they are so cute and ugly at the same time!)

Then, the search for frogs began...

This cute little rock is about the closest I got to finding a frog.
Which is to say, not very close.

they got pretty silly...

and soon water was in the air...

well, it was a fun expedition...I'm so glad they let me come =)

P.S.
I must be honest and tell you that we actually made such a ruckus getting down there, laughing loud enough to wake the dead and the dog following along without us knowing, that we must have completely scared the frogs away. We weren't able to catch a single one...

All the frog pictures are ones I took a few days back, when the boys first brought several frogs up to our little habitat in the garden. But the boys did catch them, and they caught them here, so you can just pretend it all happened on the same day...

if you want to =)

Wow! What kind of frogs are those, do you know? We don't have anything like that. We have big Houston Toads, bull frogs and tiny tree frogs, but I've never seen ones like those.

Coolio.
